Role: Trustee (Voluntary)
Location: Penzance (with option to join meetings online)
Time Commitment: Around 2–3 hours per month, including quarterly board meetings
For almost 150 years, YMCA Cornwall has been at the heart of the community, providing accommodation and one to one support for young people at risk of homelessness. We offer safe, supportive spaces where young people can thrive.
We’re seeking passionate, strategic thinkers to join our Board of Trustees. As a Trustee, you’ll help guide the governance and long-term direction of our charity. Ensuring we remain sustainable, impactful, and true to our mission.
We welcome applications from all backgrounds, but we’re especially interested in people with experience in:
Property & Facilities Management
Legal & Compliance
HR & People Management
Lived Experience: If you’ve faced challenges similar to the young people who’ve have been affected by homelessness, your insight is invaluable.
Make a Difference: Directly influence the lives of vulnerable young people in Cornwall.
Grow Professionally: Gain experience at a strategic board level.
