This gave listeners a rare and heartfelt insight into the realities faced by young people experiencing homelessness, and the transformative impact of supported housing and one to one support.
Their stories highlight the importance of safe spaces where young people can rebuild their lives and have a bright future.
“The staff are the unsung heroes. They do so much for so many people—they know what it’s like to struggle, and they can help.” Michael.
The feature is part of our ongoing mission to raise awareness around youth homelessness in Cornwall and to showcase the vital work being done every day here in Penzance.
As the largest provider of supported housing for young people in the county, YMCA Cornwall continues to advocate for solutions that ensure no young person faces homelessness alone.
We’re incredibly proud of our residents for sharing their voices and stories so openly.
