YMCA Cornwall Christmas Charity Networking Event

Help us protect our coastline while making a real difference in the local community.

We’ll meet on the beach in front of the skatepark at Wherrytown before heading towards Penzance Promenade, collecting litter and helping to keep our beaches clean for everyone to enjoy.

All ages are welcome, and equipment will be provided where possible.

Meeting Point: On the beach at Wherrytown (in front of the skatepark)
Time: 11am to 1pm
Location: Wherrytown to Penzance Promenade.
Cost: Free to attend, donations welcome!
What to bring: Warm clothing, sturdy footwear, and a reusable water bottle.

Get into the festive spirit and craft your own seasonal wreath while supporting YMCA Cornwall’s Winter Appeal.

Guided by Angela Read from Cornish Wreath Maker, you’ll learn how to create a stunning wreath using seasonal greenery and decorative touches to take home and enjoy throughout the festive season.

Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or trying wreath making for the first time, this relaxed and sociable event is suitable for everyone.

This is an opportunity to make new connections, strengthen existing relationships and learn more about how local charities can work together to help support young people at risk of homelessness in Cornwall.

Time: 10am to 12pm

Interested in sharing your expertise?

We’re looking for guest speakers who can offer practical insights and ideas to help Cornish charities collaborate more effectively and address local challenges together.

We look forward to welcoming you to YMCA Cornwall.

No experience is necessary. Whether you’re an expert knitter or just want to enjoy the company of others, we’d love to see you there.
