YMCA Cornwall’s Open Day 2025
YMCA Cornwall is proud to share the success of our recent Open Day, which brought together residents, supporters, and the wider community in a community celebration of the work we do.
Thanks to the incredible efforts of our team of staff, volunteers and residents we raised £1,232.12 for our latest campaign Your Help, Their Future – raising funds to build four new homes for young people at risk of homelessness in Cornwall.
But beyond the fundraising, we have helped raise awareness and understanding of the vital support we continue to provide to our residents.
The day was filled with inspiring moments, including a moving performance by members of the St Buryan Male Voice Choir, whose voices moved us all especially when they sang Trelawney and Cornwall My Home! We were also honoured to have the support of the team from Charles Reynolds Foundation and Cornwall Community Foundation, whose support helps make our work possible.
Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about our services, meet our dedicated team, and hear from residents about their stories.
A special thank you to Chaos Radio, who attended and conducted interviews throughout the day. We look forward to sharing those recordings once they go live.

This Open Day was a true reflection of what we can achieve together as a community and we’re grateful to everyone who helped, donated and attended. Thank you!
