Only Cornwall Housing is able to offer Emergency Accommodation and this is dependent upon priority need.
Seek immediate advice if you are homeless or believe you may lose your accommodation.
If you are sofa surfing but have somewhere temporarily to stay, please make a homeless enquiry in the first instance and an officer will contact you. The fastest way to access help is to visit Cornwall Housing’s website:

Children’s Services must help young people under 18 or who have been in care and who are under the age of 21 years and up to the age of 24 if you have vulnerabilities.

If someone is being violent or abusive towards you, you must seek help right away.
There are a number of agencies who can assist you, including perhaps finding you a safe place to go. Some of these are listed below:

Women’s Aid: 0808 2000 247 free 24 hour helpline for victims of domestic violence

St Petrocs Breadline resource centre:
If you are sleeping rough in Penzance, you can visit the St Petrocs Breadline resource centre in Bread Street where you can have something to eat and drink and use their toilets, showers and washing machines.
Open 7 days a week
Monday to Friday: 9.30am – 12.30pm
Saturday & Sunday: 12 noon – 2pm
The Street Food Project:
A hot meal service 7 nights a week, 365 days a year, supporting Penzance’s homeless and/or vulnerably housed, as well as families and individuals suffering from poverty. Provides shopping bags of store cupboard essentials for families or individuals in need.
Open every night 6pm – 7pm at 1 Guildhall Road (St John’s Hall), Penzance.
